April 2012 - Congratulations Caitlyn :) Caitlyn has been nominated for The Rotary Club of Parma, Career & Technical Awards Recognition & Scholarships: This recognition is a tribute to those career & technical students who have achieved academic excellence in 18-20 vocational areas of study. They attend a regular Rotary luncheon meeting to meet their Rotary sponsors. Then the following week at a special evening Rotary meeting, joined by family, each student is individually recognized by their teacher and Rotary sponsor and given a medallion and plaque. In addition, four $500.00 scholarships are given to selected students.

July, 2011 - Nominated for 2011 ARC Hero Award For the second year in a row, Caitlyn and Maria have been nominated for the American Red Cross Hero Award in the Innovation Category. In 2010, they won for the Help Us Help The Gulf Wildlife Campaign for Innovation and People's Choice. In 2011, they have been nominated for their book collection, Teens Making A Difference. Congratulations girls!
Spring, 2011 - Congratulations to my beautiful daughter, Caitlyn Toth, who was recommended by teachers to serve on the "Normandy High School Distinguished Achievement Hall Of Fame Committee" for the 2011/2012 year !!
The Normandy High School Distinguished Achievement Hall of Fame was created to recognize and celebrate the alumni of Normandy High School who have aggrandized themselves into their careers or those who have made a significant contribution to student life at Nomandy......Student committee members are by teacher recommendation only and are responsible (with the teacher committee co-chairs) for discussions regarding candidate selection, plan for events, fundraising activities, voting process and introduction of nominees at student morning assemby and induction ceremony.

NOVEMBER 1, 2010 - Dr. Brad Ritchey of Parma City Schools is submitting a nomination for a nationwide award. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program is the United States' largest youth recognition program based exclusively on volunteer community service. The program was created in 1995 by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to honor middle level and high school students for outstanding service to others at the local, state, and national level.

OCTOBER 2010 - Caitlyn and Maria were nominated and chosen as a finalist in the American Red Cross Cleveland Heroes Award in the Innovation Category. The American Red Cross Hero Awards will honor individuals who have shown extraordinary courage, compassion, character or humanity by saving or improving the lives of others. With over 100 nominations, the American Red Cross of Greater Cleveland along with the help of over 4,000 public votes is proud to recognize outstanding local heroes. Notification from the American Red Cross:
"Based on the overwhelming response from our Judging Committee and the exuberant response from the community the decision has been made to recognize all twenty-five of our finalists as 2010 American Red Cross Heroes. We look forward to sharing the inspirational stories of all of our Heroes at the luncheon. Additionally, five of our twenty-five Heroes will be recognized with the People’s Choice designation. The five People’s Choice Award recipients will be announced at the Hero Awards on November 16th"

AUGUST 2010 - Caitlyn and Maria were honored at a ceremony at Parmatown Mall officiated by Mayor Dean DePiero. He presented the girls with two commendations - one from Ohio State Representative Degeeter and one from Governor Strickland.
