In June 2010, we started a Facebook group page called "Help Us Help The Gulf Wildlife" to ask for donations of Dawn (blue) Dish Soap to help save countless wildlife affected from the Gulf Oil spill. Our donation drive, which ran from mid-June to August 1, 2010 did not seek monetary donations, just the dish liquid, critical to the animal rescue efforts being made by volunteers the Gulf region. Through word of mouth and passing out flyers at the mall, almost 8,000 people from all over the world joined our Facebook group and supported our effort. The donation drive collected over 5,300 bottles of Dawn Dish Soap that will be used to clean the animals. We arranged to have a locally-owned logistics company with an 18-wheeler drive the bottles at NO CHARGE TO US to a sanctuary in Florida on August 10, 2010.
For the academic school year of 2010 - 2011 we partnered with Project Night Night, Parma Education Association, Parma Area Family to Family Collaborative, and Help Me Grow (Ohio) and donated a combined total of 10,000 new and gently-used books to children to improve reading skills throughout our community. As teen students we realize reading is the very basic skill needed to be successful in school. We have seen that too many children do not have that skill and they do not have books in their homes. One of our favorite things to do is to read to our 3 year old nephew, Cameron. That's when we made the decision that all children should have books in their homes so they can feel the same satisfaction we feel while reading to Cameron. This project lasted from August 2010 to May 2011 with great success. We collected over 10,000 books for distribution to children all over North East Ohio.

Our mom (Jennifer) and our Aunt (Maria) helped create both our Facebook Page and website and they monitor each. Please feel free to contact them with any questions.
**PLEASE NOTE: We can accept monetary donations ONLY if the check or money order is written to our partnered organizations - Please see our "Project Info" page for information.
We are just two teens who are NOT recognized as a "charitable organization" and cannot accept your generosity of financial assistance. However, in an effort to help the American Legion with the massive costs involved in shipping the coupons internationally we suggest you make your checks out directly to them and we will deliver your contribution to them.
Contributions to the American Legion would be tax deductible.
